1K Mile - 1987 Shelby Lancer

The car is finished in Graphic Red Clear Coat, the sole color offered for the 1987 Shelby Lancer, per the window sticker. It carries hood louvers, black lower body cladding, and "Shelby Lancer" door graphics, along with an "Intercooled Turbo" decal. The car rides on genuine Shelby-branded 15-inch mesh-spoke alloy wheels, identified by their "S" center caps, currently mounted with Mastercraft Touring LSR tires. The driver's-side front of the hood shows some hairline cracks in the paint, and the rear quarter window's weather stripping is also cracked.

The cabin is trimmed in leather bucket seats with a center console, armrest, and dual recliners, confirmed by the window sticker. A Shelby-branded steering wheel is fitted, identified by its script badge. The odometer reads 1,079 miles total. The car is equipped with a rear window defroster, a console-mounted compass and temperature readout, illuminated visor mirrors, and power windows, door locks, and remote-control mirrors.

The car is powered by a Chrysler-supplied, Shelby-tuned 2.2L Turbo II intercooled SOHC inline-four, factory-rated at 175 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque, paired with a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission. The 1987 Shelby Lancer used Monroe Formula GP struts, larger sway bars, and a 4-wheel disc brake system, unusual for the segment at the time.
