Vortec-Powered 1965 Chevrolet C10

The blue body shows dents and surface corrosion throughout; the paint is applied in a deliberately simulated-wear style rather than a conventional finish. The front bumper and grille are painted worn white; the rear step bumper is finished in silver and carries Bennett Chevrolet markings from Baldwyn, Mississippi. The 20-inch American Racing Salt Flat alloy wheels sit at each corner with staggered Landsail tires — 245/45 up front and 275/45 at the rear. The bed carries a wood floor with white-finished runners; the fuel filler is mounted in the floor due to the relocated tank. Rust holes are present on the front bed panel; wheel wells and side panels carry additional dents. Tinted glass, hood-mounted turn signals, and side moldings are fitted.

A custom brown leather bench fills the cab, bolstered and fitted with integrated cup holders. The banjo-style aftermarket steering wheel is mounted on a later-model steering column and frames a 100-mph speedometer alongside coolant temperature and fuel gauges, as well as warning lamps. Aftermarket oil pressure and temperature gauges are mounted to the right of the steering wheel. An under-dash aftermarket A/C unit is installed; an aftermarket stereo with door-mounted Pioneer speakers handles audio.

The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 is fuel-injected and wears a Cadillac Escalade-style engine cover; an aluminum radiator and custom air intake assembly are installed. Power routes to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic. Power steering is fitted; braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The fuel tank has been relocated beneath the rear of the bed; dual exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers exits at the rear. The five-digit odometer shows 21,981 miles, but total mileage is unknown.
