1998 Porsche Boxster Race Car

The body carries a yellow and green race wrap over the original maroon paint; race number 617 is applied to the nose and both front fenders. GridLife GTC Championship and SPB class decals are present on the bodywork. A GridLife banner spans the windshield. Dark five-spoke Porsche wheels are fitted at all four corners wearing Toyo Proxes RR tires in 255/40ZR17. A red mirror cap is fitted to the driver's side.

The cabin has been stripped to bare metal: no door cards, no carpet, no interior trim panels. A roll cage is installed throughout the cockpit with full bracing visible front and rear. A Racetech racing seat is mounted on the driver's side with a red multi-point racing harness. A Sparco suede steering wheel is fitted; a dual-channel Marathon lap timer is mounted at the hub. The factory instrument cluster speedometer, tachometer, and auxiliary gauges are retained. A switch panel is mounted on the dash. A fire extinguisher is mounted to the passenger-side floor. The shift linkage and cables are exposed along the center tunnel.

The 2.5-liter mid-mounted flat-six has been dyno-tested at MCE Racing; three consecutive Dynojet runs produced 196.54, 194.62, and 192.34 horsepower. The dyno sheet accompanies the car. The transmission was replaced before the most recent race weekend. Bilstein shocks are fitted; the seller reports they are grandfathered into the current SPB build specification, maintaining the car's eligibility under rules that may not permit Bilsteins in new builds. The car meets SPB and BSR build specifications as evidenced by the active log books. Total mileage is unknown since it is not known if this is the original engine.
