1925 Ford Model T "Depot Hack"

The body is finished in black with a varnished wood body, a black composite-covered roof over varnished wood battens, black wood-spoke wheels, and a single side-mounted spare mounted ahead of the driver's-side rear wheel. Electric headlights with chrome escutcheons and cowl-mounted kerosene lamps are fitted at the front, with additional lamp fixtures mounted at the rear roof posts and a red-tinted lamp mounted to the rear. The front seating position sits within an enclosed, glazed cab section with a flat windshield, while the two rear passenger rows are open-sided beneath the roof.

The car seats three rows and is trimmed in black upholstery, with rubber mats on the floor. The dash carries a single round gauge, and a winged radiator-cap ornament is visible through the windshield. A floor-mounted lever marked "RUCKSTELL" controls the auxiliary rear axle, alongside the Model T's standard three foot pedals.

The car uses the Model T's standard 2-speed planetary transmission, supplemented by a Ruckstell two-speed auxiliary rear axle, confirmed by the "RUCKSTELL" lever fitted at the driver's floor position; the axle is a period accessory that added an underdrive gear for easier hill climbing. A dated invoice from Mac's Antique Auto Parts (Lockport, NY), from August 1999 and from a previous owner before the current owner's 2015 purchase, documents mechanical work including an engine short block replacement, a transmission rebuild, cylinder head reconditioning, a water jacket repair, brake drum work, spring and support replacement, and paint and assembly labor. The radiator has a small hole, but it has been repaired and still cools efficiently. The seller does note an oil drip.
