4-Door 1986 Volkswagen GTI

Finished in Mars Red, the car carries the quad round-headlight front-end treatment used on Mk2 GTIs prior to the 1990 "big bumper" facelift, along with black bumpers and window trim consistent with that earlier body style. GTI badging is fitted to the exterior and the car is fitted with a sunroof. It rides on steel wheels wrapped in 185/60R14 tires.

The seats are trimmed in a tartan-check cloth with black bolsters, with matching cloth inserts on the door panels. The instrument cluster is calibrated in kilometers and includes a small digital display above the main gauges, with the odometer currently reading 485,679 km (approximately 301,790 miles). An aftermarket Sony CDX-G1200U head unit is fitted in the dash. Manual heating/ventilation controls are fitted at the center console.

The engine bay houses a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter, 8-valve inline-four with Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel-injection hardware visible, consistent with the European-specification 8-valve GTI powertrain factory-rated at 112 PS (110 hp). The car is fitted with a manual transaxle. The vehicle is reported to need a new coolant temperature sensor.
