1996 Ford F-250 SuperCab XLT

The truck is finished in dark green. It is a SuperCab with a long bed, 4x4 badging on the front fenders, and a chrome front bumper and grille. A tri-fold tonneau cover is fitted over the bed, with a spare tire mounted inside rather than underslung. It rides on factory-style steel wheels with chrome center caps, wrapped in Falken Wildpeak A/T tires. Running boards and a bed mat were installed in 1998; the toolbox is no longer present, having been replaced by the current tonneau cover, and whether the running boards and bed mat remain on the truck today is not confirmed by the supplied photos. The body has a scratch on the rear right side and a dent, as well as some rust bubbles on the rear wheel arches. All are pictured in the gallery.

The cabin is trimmed in tan cloth, with a split front bench seat. Power windows and door locks are fitted, controlled from a switch panel on the driver's door. Air conditioning is equipped, controlled through the factory analog climate panel (fan speed, temperature, and vent mode dials). An aftermarket Sony Xplod CD stereo with XM satellite radio readiness is installed in place of the factory radio. The floor-mounted shifter operates the 4X4 transmission. Cruise control is operated on the steering wheel.

The truck is powered by the 7.5-liter 460 V8, paired with the E4OD 4-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive-based 4x4 system. At 110,880 miles in August 2018, Norris Auto Repair performed a full long block replacement, consisting of a new engine block, pistons, rings, connecting rods, crankshaft, cylinder heads, and camshaft, along with a new water pump, radiator hoses, belts, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, spark plug wires, thermostat, air filter, oil filter, and hose clamps. At 142,353 miles in January 2023, Chance Transmissions serviced the E4OD with a deep-pan filter and BG full synthetic ATF, and replaced the front transfer case output seal. In July 2023, the air conditioning compressor failed; Myers Automotive replaced the compressor, clutch, accumulator assembly, and orifice tube, flushed the system, and replaced a battery cable. In June 2024, Myers Automotive replaced a refrigerant pressure switch and the receiver-drier assembly, both under warranty from the prior repair. In August 2024, both headlight assemblies and both turn signal/parking light and side marker light units were replaced. In 2026, an oil change was performed.
