Buick V6 Powered 1950 Willys Jeepster

The car is finished in yellow and black. It carries a V-shaped eggcrate grille, wrap-around chrome trim, driving lights, turn signals, dual exhaust outlets, and dual taillights, along with a split front windshield. A black convertible top with a soft top boot is fitted. It rides on body-color 15-inch steel wheels with polished hubcaps and trim rings, mounted with 6.70-series Allstate whitewall tires that have faded with age. A spare tire is mounted at the rear. Drum brakes are fitted at all four corners.

The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl and tan cloth, with a split front bench seat that extends to a rear bench. The Jeepster was never fitted with roll-up door windows from the factory, relying instead on removable side curtains with the top; whether this car currently has its side curtains was not addressed. No air conditioning is fitted; a cabin heater is installed. The dashboard is finished in body color and includes a lockable glove compartment and sun visors. A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a centrally mounted instrument panel with a 110 mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature.

The car is powered by a 198 cubic-inch Buick "Fireball" V6, installed in place of the factory engine, paired with a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive and rear-wheel drive. The electrical system has been converted from the factory 6-volt setup to 12 volts. Aftermarket mufflers have been fitted. A coolant leak is present above the water pump, and corrosion is visible on underside surfaces. The front suspension is independent, with semi-elliptic rubber-mounted transverse front springs and conventional leaf springs at the rear, both factory-original to the Jeepster's design.
