1985 Jeep CJ7 5-Speed

The Jeep sits on a 2.5-inch suspension lift with 31-inch BFG KM2 mud terrains on black steel wheels, a functional trail configuration that leaves the factory stance behind. Tan paint carries across the body a powder-coated sport bar, Pro Comp front and rear steel bumpers, and Hella replacement headlights are fitted; a new rear spare tire mount and bumper were installed two years ago. The truck shows paint imperfections and some scratches on the driver's door as well as the front bumper.

The CJ7's cabin has been rebuilt for use rather than restored to stock; new black vinyl seats and new seatbelts replace the originals, and floors and lower panels carry a spray-bedliner coating throughout. Speed Hut GPS gauges were installed two years ago alongside a replacement dash panel and pad; all instruments are functional. The interior door cards need to be attached.

The AMC 258, the inline-six fitted to CJs from 1972 onward, has been completely rebuilt here with a mild cam, Pacesetter headers, Flowmaster exhaust, and a Weber carburetor installed within the last year. Power runs through a T5 five-speed and a Dana 20 transfer case; the front Dana 30 and the transfer case were recently regeared, and a Detroit Locker with Superior one-piece axle shafts was installed in the rear. New shocks at all four corners and a new brake master cylinder were fitted within the last year. A complete Painless wiring harness replaces the factory loom, and a new wiper motor was installed two years ago. The seller reports all work was performed by professional mechanics and no known mechanical issues are present.
