The M-specific body treatment is standard across all examples: wider rear quarters, a dedicated front fascia, side sills, and rear apron set the body apart from the base Z4 at a glance. Panels are straight with paint consistent throughout. The 18-inch M five-spoke alloy wheels carry Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Black leather sport seats with M stitching and embossed headrests are standard to the Z4 M Coupe, with no other interior configuration offered for the US market. Red seatbelts and an Alcantara headliner are fitted throughout. The M-specific three-spoke steering wheel and short-throw six-speed shifter are original to the car. The carbon black instrument cluster includes an M-specific tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline and a 180-mph speedometer. Navigation is fitted. Seats and carpets present without visible wear.

The engine features double VANOS variable valve timing and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels.
