1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

The exterior of this Corvette began life in white, was then repainted in Riverside Red, and the current owner has refinished it in GM Torch Red using PPG products, following a complete disassembly and documented refurbishment process with epoxy and high-build primers before final paint and reassembly. The color is modeled after the current C8 Corvette’s Torch Red, offering a deeper tone than the Riverside Red. Exterior features include a black soft top, factory auxiliary hardtop, side exhaust, and knock-off-style wheels fitted with whitewall tires. Documentation and a previous photo collage highlight a prior frame-off refurbishment are pictured.

The black interior features bucket seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, and factory instrumentation including a large tachometer and speedometer. Center console trim houses the 4-speed manual selector and period switchgear. Black upholstery, door panels, and carpeting have been retained or restored to factory specifications. Two-seat convertible configuration is present.

The car is powered by the 327ci L76 engine, rated at 365 horsepower, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The power steering system has been serviced, including a replaced power steering hose. This Corvette was refurbished to be enjoyed and driven while preserving its character. Documented mechanical work includes a professional engine rebuild; a professional transmission rebuild covering the main shaft, synchronizers, and internal components; rebuilt rear trailing arm assemblies with new bushings; refreshed rear suspension including shocks, mounts, brackets, and hardware; a four-wheel alignment; a serviced ignition system (coil, points, condenser, spark plugs); and firewall heat and sound insulation. Fuel system and electrical service have been completed as needed over the ownership period.
