Fiesta Red 1956 Ford Thunderbird

Fiesta Red sits on the 1956 Thunderbird body; the continental rear spare, three-louver fenders, and chrome side spear trim are the details that mark this as a '56 specifically, separating it from the cleaner tail of the 1955 and the finned rear of the 1957. Chrome bumpers and chrome wire wheel covers are present; wide-whitewall tires are fitted. Both the white removable hardtop and white soft top are included. The color is correct for the data plate, Fiesta Red (K2), but paint originality is not confirmed and does show signs of aging in isolated areas. The soft top has some weathered areas and some discoloration.

The color-keyed red interior runs the full two-seat cabin: red vinyl bolsters, red-painted steering wheel spokes with a chrome Thunderbird center emblem, white pleated seat inserts, and white door panels throughout. Power seats and power windows are notable options on a 1956-era personal car. A factory AM radio and clock flank the instrument cluster; air conditioning controls occupy the dash.

The 312ci Y-block V8, the optional engine above the standard 292ci, first available in the Thunderbird for 1956, produces 225 horsepower through a single four-barrel carburetor and drives the rear wheels through a Ford-O-Matic three-speed automatic. Factory air conditioning and power steering are fitted.
